Adventures in Flash

I'm really digging the assignment dealing with the aquarium and fish. It's really cool to get a good grip on motion tweens and adjustments like that. My favorite so far has been skewing the seaweed to give the illusion of movement -- it will be very helpful in the future!

One thing that I find really intimidating is drawing in Flash. I'm just so use to using shapes and the pen tool in Illustrator I can't imagine doing anything else....

One day, Flash, one day.

  1. Flash is one of those "step by step," software programs that if you miss a step, can be sooooo frustrating! Once you get those steps engraved on your brain it actually becomes fun, mixed with frustration because inevitably you'll forget one of those 'lil steps and thus have to stop and scratch your head to figure out where you went wrong. The main thing is have fun, and learn along the way!

  2. Well I'm glad that you are actually understanding and loving the aquarium assignment. I'm definably going to need some help with this one since I'm some what new to flash it self. Like you I have never drawn in flash and actually not even in illustrator so I know I'm going to need all the help that I can get.

  3. Your right one day you will be amazing at Flash, I don't believe I have that luck. The fish project was fun, making everything move and look nice together without looking like "special fish" is worth the stress.

Illustrator looks so hard, and I think it will take me a while to get the hang of it.

  4. Jasmine you're gonna be a pro at it in no time!! I've hit a few plateau's with it myself. You'll be fine. i like the ocean animation with the fish too. I'm pretty much gliding through it a little.

  5. Jasmine, Flash is so great, just wish I could grasp it quicker and better. I wonder how long it will take to really get something great on a website or even better yet work to do a webpage. I don't give up EVER, so I will get it!
